The Story

Its origins date back to the Airborne Express days when a regional manager approached Ann McCloe to bid on a contract in Fort Lauderdale, FL. At the time Ann and Garry operated a successful heavy-weight airfreight distribution company named AAustin Enterprises. The Airborne manager was impressed by the cleanliness of their Fleet and wanted Ann to bid on a dedicated Airborne contract. After a two-year courtship and negotiations over price, AAustin began serving as a dedicated service partner for Airborne Express in 1998.

Between 1998 and 2004, AAustin grew quickly with Airborne Express, expanding into five states under Ann’s leadership. Then DHL Express acquired Airborne Express in 2004 and during the next 5 years, Ann served on the IC Council working collaboratively with DHL Senior Management to help provide insight and feedback to the organization. Then in the restructuring of the DHL Express US business in 2009, AAustin was blessed to remain a service provider while pivoting its business into an entirely new service territory.

Now, AAustin Express has grown to operate 250+ routes daily across eight states with a team of experienced drivers and staff. The company's focus on innovation and technology has helped it to stay ahead of the curve in the industry, and its commitment to sustainability ensures that it is doing its part to protect the environment. AAustin Express uses advanced technology to manage its fleet, such as Samsara, DriveCam by Lytx, and Fleetio. These tools help AAustin Express monitor and optimize its performance, safety, and efficiency. AAustin Express prides itself on being a quality-driven, service-based organization that delivers professional, courteous, and personalized services.
